Before the live broadcast of the "Günce" program on Kanal B, we had the honor of hosting Prof. Dr. İlknur Taş, one of our country's distinguished Hittitologists, along with Assoc. Dr. Tulga Albustanlıoğlu, Director of the Center for Culture and Art Research, at the Thermopolium Gastronomy Academy. During the visit, a comprehensive briefing was given on the academy's application and research infrastructure and technical equipment; our esteemed professor expressed her appreciation for the center's competent structure, which enables interdisciplinary studies. In the light of gastroarchaeology, we continue to combine the traces of the past with today's culinary arts. We extend our thanks to Prof. Dr. İlknur Taş for her kind visit and valuable scientific assessments.

The Department of Nursing at Başkent University Faculty of Health Sciences and the Sustainable Environment Research and Application Center (BÜÇEM) came together to evaluate institutional practices regarding waste separation at source and recycling processes within the scope of sustainable environmental management. This collaborative meeting, hosted by Thermopolium Gastronomy Academy, facilitated the sharing of knowledge and experience, and current practices were reviewed and suggestions for improvement were evaluated.

Final year students from Başkent University Faculty of Medicine visited the Thermopolium Gastronomy Academy for educational and observational purposes. They emphasized that it is a source of pride that this level of scientific and practical education is offered together in Turkey. The visionary approach of our university and its pioneering contributions in the field of gastronomy were appreciated by the visiting students and faculty members.

Academic staff from Başkent University participated in a Breadmaking Workshop organized by Dilek Alp, Lecturer in the Pastry and Breadmaking Program at the Vocational School of Social Sciences. During the workshop, participants experienced the production of "Pain d'Épi" from French cuisine and "Ciaccia con i Fichi" from the Tuscany region of Italy through hands-on practice; the historical, cultural, and technical aspects of traditional breadmaking were conveyed through these products. Sensory analyses of the products were conducted throughout the event, creating a multi-sensory learning environment with cultural narratives and music. Combining academic knowledge with practical skills, the workshop was successfully completed in line with its objectives, and participants received certificates of participation.

Within the scope of the Education and Cooperation Protocol signed between Başkent University and Nesibe Aydın Educational Institutions; a delegation led by Mr. Kemal Kambak, Operations Manager of Duru Yemek Temizlik Organizasyon A.Ş., which operates under Nesibe Aydın Educational Institutions, visited Thermopolium Gastronomy Academy and conducted on-site inspections. The delegation consisted of expert representatives in their fields, including a dietitian, a food engineer, and a head chef. During the visit, comprehensive information was provided about the academy's physical infrastructure, operational model, technical and training equipment used, procurement process, national and international gastrodiplomacy events and workshops held within the academy, corporate and academic visits, and the training and academic opportunities offered. The delegation members expressed their great admiration for the Thermopolium Gastronomy Academy's high-quality training structure and the university's practice-based academic approach, stating that this was the first time they had seen a training and application facility of this scale and quality in Ankara. Furthermore, they expressed their desire to benefit from our university's strong academic expertise, interdisciplinary research opportunities, and unique approach to education in various fields within the framework of the cooperation protocol; and specifically, they stated that they would request support from the Rector's office regarding education and application processes.
